This kit pairs the always popular DEROS II 5650CV sander with the 1230 M AFC 230v dust extractor, providing a dust-free sanding solution that will cope with medium hazard dust.  This kind of dust would be generated by the sanding of hardwoods, MDF, concrete and brick.  M class filtration is the minimum requirement for site use according to guidelines set out by the Health and Safety Executive.

The Mirka DEROS II 5650CV has been favourite of professional and enthusiast users for many years for it's light weight and ease of use.  A brushless motor ensures that the sander will maintain a constant speed, even when sanding under heavy load.  An easy to use speed controller allows the user instant control and a separate on/off switch gives safe and easy handling.  The DEROS has the lowest vibration values in it's class and features a sensor which, when used with a my Mirka app, can monitor vibration levels to help the operator guard against potentially harmful effects of long term vibration exposure.  This, along with the superior ergonomics, allows the sander to be used for long periods without fatigue.

To help keep the sander working at it's best, it is recommended that the backing pad be replaced regularly as a worn pad can upset the balance of the machine.  Replacement pads are available in for use on flat surfaces.  The life of the backing pad can be enhanced with the use of , which take the punishment when sanding aggressively or frequently swapping abrasives.  A smoother result can be achieved, particularly on rounded or contoured surfaces, by using an .

An auto start function means that the extractor will only run when the sander does, extending the life of the motor and reducing workplace noise.  An automatic filter cleaning system activates every 15 seconds to ensure maximum performance.  It will indicate if air flow levels drop below optimum at which point a will be needed.

On-board storage for the cable and hose makes transportation easier and there is further storage space on the top of the machine.  It can accept Mirka's to attach the Systainer site case for easy access to regularly used items.  A disposable fleece dust bag is included with available as a pack of 5.
